The Atma-Sphere Class D project has been in the works since 2017. The goal was to expand on the positive attributes of the existing line of OTL amplifiers, which have been getting great reviews and awards in the high end press for the last 30 years. The result is a solid state amp that has all the smoothness in the mids and highs that you expect from an excellent tube amp but with considerably lower distortion, output impedance and obviously higher efficiency. Like the OTL amps, this one has a very nice first watt!
The Class D is a monoblock design based on GaNFET output devices and accepts both single-ended and balanced inputs. The circuit is designed and manufactured by Atma-Sphere - it does not use anyone else's modules. The power supply employs a toroidal power transformer and has over-current protection to keep the amplifier safe in case of a short at the speaker terminals.

Electra-Fidelity Update 2021
For those of you wondering what we have been up to lately, well the answer is quite a bit, except you wouldn’t know it hanging out on these pages. Truth be told like everyone else we’ve been navigating through the pandemic. Alas, as Jack has just entered his 76th year some new events are on the horizon. After 40+ years in this business Jack needs a break and he has certainly earned it. So with that we regret to notify you that Electra-Print transformers will no longer be available to consumers or DIY hobbyists. Jack will still support the trade and his OEM vendors which in and of itself means he can’t really retire, and he will occasionally make available a package for hard core DIY enthusiasts to include a schematic and transformers of his new High Perveance Enhanced A3 designs.
